Any of the following programs:

  -- Ardour
  -- Audacity
  -- MiXViews
  -- Snd
  -- Slab
  -- or any other visually-oriented sound editor for Linux?  (or even
windows, but only if already or announced-to-be cross platform)

[yes, I have an ulterior motive, but no, *you* won't necessarily have to
end up in front of the group presenting it...]

If you have experience with one of these programs, I'd like to hear
about it (offline is ok -- mailto:tom.emerson at wbconsultant.com) and
maybe learn how to (effectively!) use one or two of them.
