Well, I guess we can't be too hoity-toity about RPM vs deb--I looked
just for fun and didn't see an obvious way to search Ubuntu's repository
either; in fact, judging by the community page Ubuntu is mostly about
politics. :-)  I'm sure it's there, somewhere, as well, but maybe I
should start suggesting people choose a distro based on whether or not
there is an obviously labeled 'package database' link right on their
home page.  :-)
