aren't there some JUGs already out there?

Call me closed-minded, but Java is a proprietary technology that I would
rather avoid learning/using, if at all possible, and I'm sure there are
other developers who understand what I mean. *no offense to those who don't*
This is after many years of personal debate, in which no advocate or
rationalization could possibly alter my opinion on, so it's really not a
matter of thought-process, but rather personal/career interests and
priorities. =)
That doesn't mean that I condemn those wanting to use/learn Java, or
get all anti-java-snob on them, either. =)
I don't think it should be 'forbidden' to discuss java @ the devsig
group, as it is a common development language, but I was under the
impression that devsig was focused more-so on open source development
technologies, rather than proprietary technologies which happen to run
on an open source OS.
Sorry, I don't mean to get all RMS-style liberal about it, either. =p
