Yep, well, that and the fact that sometimes when Sun plays with open
source it tries to finesse the issue in some tricky
have-your-cake-and-eat-it-too way (say, by issuing some new
GPL-incompatible licence).  So I am very happy that Sun simply GPL'd it,
no weasel tricks that I saw.  No attempt to split codebases with the
CDDL or something.  Just GPL.

I have other technical objections to Java, but those are of a different
kind and in particular have nothing to do with open source Java
applications being dangerous Trojan horses for us.  I have always
avoided depending on anything written in Java (unless it can be built
with GCJ, say), but I guess I can stop that now.

So yeah, a very very good day.
