I just happened to have my checkbook with me where I have the receipt
for the 486DX4/100 system I bought on 2/11/95 from AB Computer which
IIRC was somewhere in Pasadena.
$295 486 PCI+VLB w/ 256 K cache w/fan
$490 16 MB 72 pin memory
$64 tax?

looks like I was also trading in an 8x1 SIMM for $200!
Seems like a heck of a lot of money for so little memory but at the
time, I'm guessing it was a decent machine. Don't remember what OS I
was running at the time? OS/2?
