This list, like most e-mail based reflector/lists, is fully automated, meaning you should be able to unsubscribe without our intervention. In fact, you should receive a monthly reminder, right around the first of the month, detailing how to remove yourself from the list. I just checked, and there are two primary methods:
1) a web-based interface at
http://www.sgvlug.net/mailman/options/sgvlug/<your-e-mail>
(replace any special characters, such as the "@", with their hex-ascii equivalent, i.e., mine is "tom.emerson%40wbconsultant.com") This is a password-protected website, and the monthly message "reminds" you of your password.
2) send a message to mailman-request at sgvlug.net with the word "help" as the message itself (if mailman-request doesn't work, try sgvlug-request -- I'm not entirely sure how Mike set this part up) The response message should outline the command-line-via-email interface.
If you're still having problems, then send a message directly to myself or Michael-proctor Smith [we post regularly, our addresses should be easy to find]
Now, that said, I'm curious as to why you are leaving the list? I'm hoping it's a good thing (got a job elsewhere, want to change the e-mail address you're subscribed under) instead of a bad thing (you've had it up to here with our pointless drivel... ;) )
